Worst event I have ever attended!!!
The ushers at the floor level were useless, constantly blocking our view by pouring beer into plastic cups. Everyone from the floor was routed up the aisle by our seats, standing in the way. Why not just serve the beer in cups to begin with? A girl got sick in our row halfway through the concert. The usher asked us to get up so that emergency personnel could take care of her. After she was removed, we were told to keep standing in the aisle until they got the mess cleaned up. The cleanup crew arrived during the last song. We were never allowed back into our seats. What a joke. Planning on asking for a refund.
Derek needs to play more
I really wanted to hear Derek Trucks play, as he is evidently one of the leading guitarists of today. In fact, each of these musicians could almost occupy the stage alone due to their extraordinary talent. The talent in this band is almost overwhelming. It's as if they crowd each other out together. Each of them - Susan, Derek, Oteil, Kofi, the horns, the drums, the backup vocals - is so good that I wished to hear more from them individually. No one should miss the chance to see so many fine musicians on one stage.
Only Played New Songs... Wanted a few old ones.
The new songs they played were mostly guitar/synth heavy, making the lyrics/vocals hard to hear or understand. I did enjoy the show overall, even though I really wished they had performed some of the tunes that made me a fan of the band in the first place: Soft Rock Star, Torture Me, Siamese Cities, Grow up and blow away.
The highlight of the show was an acoustic version of Combat Baby, the only old song they played.
